There's a whole cult of photographers avatars where the artist has it's camera in front of his head.
An interesting thing is that the artist becomes the extension of the camera, most of the images depicting the long and thick black (or white) lens. The camera becomes the subject and dominant of the image, not the person.
There's a nice joke:
One day, three priests decided to go skinny dipping in a lake. They wait for a moment when there was no one around, they get naked and jump in the water. After a while, a group of women start approaching the lake. The priests panic. Two on them cover their dicks, the third one his face.
'Dude, why are you covering your face?'
'I don't know about you guys, but in my congregation, people recognize my face, not my dick.'
